Woke up at around 8plus....and took a bath first since its a shared bathroom.....
Finished packing all stuff by 9plus and so proceed to checkout.....
Confirmed with staff on the venue of the airport bus and the next available bus is 1000am...
She told me it will take 30 mins to reach the airport.....
At around 1030am ....reached the airport and proceed to the checkin queue.....
At the end of the line......(cute guy @ counter) the guy told me that Ive missed my flight......
I looked at my reservations paper and realised my flight is at 1045am.....
Blur me thought the flight is at 12pm.....
Got a shock......Almost wanted to cry..... Ive never missed any flights before....
Went to the lufthansa counter.....(my heart was beating real fast)
Told the lady that Ive missed my flight.....
She was really nice....gave me that "of pity you" look and told me she will try to do something for me.....(....She never even ask me why I miss my flight.....Guess she thought the check-in queue was too long thats why I missed it.....)
She took some time(heart beating even faster....), and at one point told me its not easy to replace the seat cos my flight package was from SQ.....special price she said(my heart almost drop)
Felt like telling her that if really cannot.....I will pay for a full price ticket then.....(Will be totally broke man).....
At last she told me....she can get me a seat on another flight.....Phew.......(heart still beating quite fast)......
So she proceed to check me in and then told me my flight is at 2.40pm and boarding is at 1.55pm
and told me to proceed to the baggage drop-off counter.....
Felt like kissing her man.....She so nice......
So after dropping off my baggage(21.7kg)....I walked around the airport.....
Called the hotel in frankfurt to tell them to hold the reservations.....
Well I got close to 4hours before boarding......
Nothing much to see....so I went to the cafe and had my lunch(Goulash+boiled potatoes)
End up surfing the net, since there's free wireless at the airport.....
Guess Ive learned my lesson(Check flight time properly)
Lucky for me my connecting flight was scheduled to be the week after.....so in a way I can still afford the delay.....
Flight took off around 2.45pm...
The lady even give me a window seat near the wings(most stable part of the airplane)......
She is so nice right.....Damn I dont know her name.....
Reached Frankfurt around 5pm.....Bought the Frankfurt card....and proceed to take the S-Bahn....
Well the S-bahn is so damn confusing......There is 2 platforms and no indication of which line coming to which platform.....At last.....took the wrong line....
Went to the opposite direction of Hauptbahnhof(Hp).... so had to slight and took the opposite line next...
After the airport....was the stadium station.....lots of people there cheering and stuff....
My guess is that they just won some soccer match or something......
Well at last reached the main station.....
Was told that the hotel is opposite the station.....Bloody hell....The station got three exits so which exit is it opposite too.....
Guess the people here are used to the incomplete directions......so end up I had to go look for a map....Couldnt understand a single thing...so took a guess.....
Well it was a lucky guess....Saw the hotel(was expecting the building itself to be colourful).....so went in to check-in....
Well what an eventful day.....Personally dont really like Frankfurt that much.....Pretty scared I might get lost here.....
The atmosphere here is different from Vienna....Vienna has a very friendly atmosphere....almost homely....but here felt foreign.....
Felt really tired after all the fiasco.....so slept the whole night.....did not even took dinner....
Well its around 9am now....the city looks dead.....well its sunday i guess......
Gonna go get something to eat then maybe join a tour or something.....
Looking forward to Amsterdam though......(Better dont miss my bus)
