Well.....GoodBye Europe.....12hrs of torture on the plane back.....Reached SG on Sun @ 0600hrs
Damn tired.....Luckily took Mon off......Can relax and not feel so lag.....
There was a delay in the baggage pick-up.....Was really pissed off man.....Damn tired and had to wait close to an hour before baggages was released.....Almost fainted.....
Reason-Extra check on the baggages.....Damn but why only my flight was affected.......
My sis picked me up though told her not too......(not sure why she suddenly so nice ....she even send me off.....)Curious.....Curious.....
Well ....while I was in Europe....my mum brought grand'ma home.....so will be sleeping on the floor....missing my bed .....what to do .....
After all the fiasco @ the airport....I was then wide awake.....cant fall to sleep.....only fall asleep around 12pm....
Promised to meet up with Cindy around 6pm so slept only for 4hours and then went to meet her....
Both of us agreed to meet up and have dinner @ Sakae Sushi....(God I miss Jap food)
She was relating to me what happen @ work the day before......Hai....work politics.....it exists everywhere.....
Spent around close to 4hrs there...Hehe we left just before closing......
I really miss Cindy......Was really glad that she was regularly updating me abt work and stuff.....Kind of miss her email nowadays....Used to look forward to them @ Europe....
Had a really good rest @ nite though the floor is pretty hard.....Guess I was really shack.....
Sleep well till the next day.....Haha....slept alot.....
Had a movie date with Cindy.....so was basically slacking the day off till the evening....waiting for her to finish work.....
We went to watch TMNT......Wah was really happy.....very happy....was really waiting for it.....miss watching movies....
Wanted to @ Europe but it was to EX!
Really cool graphics and stuff.....Storyline was pretty good too....God really miss these classic animations.....There are way better than the new one nowadays....
My fav turtle is Leonardo.......Reason?
Cos he is cool......calm....collect yet still kick ass!!!!
And he uses my fav weapon! Swords! Dual swords!!!
Was really happy that day......Should have known....happiness wont last long....The day after was almost the exact opposite....
So the story goes.....
Abt 1100hr- Reached work(slightly late....cant sleep the nite b4 so overslept a little) and tada.....the MR unit is jammed.....There was 4-5 cases waiting to be scanned!!!!
Almost fainted.....Just reached work....yet the horror has begins.....
Abt 1200hr- Took over the console from Mavis cos she never done a Liver scan before(cant even teach her cos she was busy attending to patients outside)
Got stuck on the console clearing cases.....it was basically one after another....scanner was running @ top speed yet we all still backlog by at least 1-2hours....
Really scary......It got to a point till none of us feel like going out to talk to patients cos they all seems so mad by the delay....
Well who wont be if they need to wait close to 3hrs for their scan.....but then we were all doing the best we can....none of us wants to delay anybody.....
Causes of delay-
1-Too much booking yet to little slots so we were kind of overbooked....
2-Some patients were late so cos some delay to other people...
3-Tons of Urgent cases that was given priority cos patients treatment/surgery was immediate...
4-Uncooperative patients(scans had to be repeated=more time needed to scan)
Abt 1600hrs- Was still scanning like crazy....still has abt 6-7 cases to finish....
Tina was able to call some of the patients to inform them of the delay and so they may turn up later(Thank God.....at least patient wont be waiting @ the centre and harassing everybody)
Abt 2100hrs- Mavis was still helping me screening a patient that was going in next.....Felt bad that she stayed till so long....quite glad that she would be claiming OT....
She left after screening the patient.....
Abt 2230hrs- Packing up to leave for home....Dr Gan left early cos its his son's bdae.....Said he will be back to finish off some reports.....God....He so dedicated to his work....
Taxi queue was bloody long.....So took MRT back....Living so near...Its so much faster to take MRT....
Was really shacked....Slept the moment I reached home.....
No. of Cases done-24 MRI cases done that day......A new record in itself....
Its amazing how we survive that day.....
The next day was pretty okay though some complicated cases @ nite....so my shift was stretched beyond 7pm again.....Went dinner with Cindy......basically my brain was shutting down on me.....Haha....
Think we went to pepper beef for dinner....Found the food to be quite nice though its pretty ex and your clothes practically stinks after that......
Hmmm Mavis went together with us....Well as usual she was yapping non-stop abt work and stuff.....Guess Cindy was slightly irritated by it....
The day after was the same....not to bad.....the girls all got appt so left early.....
Last case was a femur....almost fainted....first time doing femur....needed contrast somemore cos its to rule out mets.....
Me and DR Gan was really tired......That case alone took me close to 2hours to finish.....
Femur=hip joint+thigh+knee joint......3 regions leh.....
Luckily I was able to fit patient into the body coil....Phew.....Positioning him took close to 30mins....Really complicated.....
Well after that.....felt good that was able to give patient really good images.....so happy with myself....Well patient was really nice and helpful.....Really felt sorry for him....
Friday- Normal day @ work......yet my third last case was a femur similar to the nite before....
Almost fainted when I saw the form.....Guess I was really cursed or my combi with Dr Gan wasnt that great haha.....
Went back late again.....Hai what luck....Stll not as bad as tues
Sat- Jameen took off so only girls was working....
Dr Gan last day @ work...he going reservist for 5 weeks .....God will surely miss him man....
Everything was okay.....Finish work around 2plus....Normal for a Sat @ our Centre.....
Wah @ last......doing CT on the following Mon.....Yeah!!!!
